What's in a name?

Whenever people ask me what type of blogger I am, I say travel. That's because of my travel blog. Easypeasy.

How do I describe Where the Wild Things Were? It's a long rambling description that lacks confidence. I woke this morning with an epiphany. I'm a 'mouthy mummy blogger gone rogue'. Sums it up without committing me to write about anything in particular. Take that pigeon holes!

How do you describe your blog to non bloggers?

  1. I love your by line!
Mine is something like Musings on the things that touch me. Though I wrote a post with the same name as this, perhaps it was my first post, 2 years ago.

  2. Ha, ha. I get confused too. I'm not really a 'normal' mummy blogger and I don't do the product reviews or get invited to the mummy events (OK so I haven't pushed myself out there). I guess I'm 'health and wellness' - which means I better be healthy I guess!

  3. Oh I love that description! I have no idea how best to describe myself these days. Perhaps a wandering gypsy trying to make sense of it all?

  4. That's a great description. I usually just say my blog is about slow living. By the response I get, I can tell if I should be bothered explaining. It seems to be a strangely polarising topic for some people which really surprises me, but there you go. Some people might just want to live faster!!

  5. I just say I write all that stuff that others don't want to say out loud!

  6. I love it! Although I don't consider you particularly mouthy. You have opinions yes, but they are always respectfully presented, and not just mouthing off. I hope that doesn't pigeon hole you ;)

  7. I normally just say that I blog about mental illness. Although I have come across a few people who have no idea what a blog is..and that question really stumps me.

  8. I find this a bit tough to answer in social situations.I usually just mumble that I write about my life. I get a bit shy when people ask about my blog for some reason ..
