We were stuck at Central for an hour (55 mins) waiting for a train in the chaos on Sunday (stay off the tracks, d!ckheads, it really messed things up).
The irony was as we left the theatre, a taxi offered us a lift, right at the door.
Oh wow, being stuck at Central for almost an hour because of track issues is the absolute worst way to end a fun day. That's such classic New York chaos, and the irony of missing that initial taxi is just painful.
Your black and white photos are great, and what a good way to pass the time when boredom strikes.
I just spent a week in NYC and never waited for more than five minutes for a subway train. It's a great way to get around town. Too bad you had this wait.
we were stuck for more than 6 hours on Paris-Brussels line (an hour away from Brussels) recently. After 5 hours I called my husband to come and pick us up. 15 minutes before he arrived, the train continued. But arrived to Brussels next morning. (distance Paris-Brussels is cca 300 km). And googling afterwards, I found out that happens often on that particular line.
The taxi would have been much more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Happy Friday! Have a great weekend.
Yes, meabwhile I prefer a Taxi too. There are to much people during the rushour 🎃
ReplyDeleteHey, at least Australia has decent train systems.
ReplyDeleteI would argue about that - making me wait for an hour!!

ReplyDelete...Lydia, I thought the trains ran somewhat on schedule.

ReplyDeleteMind the gap, as they say in London
ReplyDeleteI haven't see graffiti on trains before! Mind, we have no trains in Donegal - they closed the railways many years ago :(

ReplyDeleteCool perspective!
ReplyDeleteGood shot! Don't know what makes it so appealing, but it just is! Thanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme.
