Success

For years, my rose bush has only bloomed one rose at a time, and I have been most excited by this single flower appearing, feeling like it was a success.

I came home to a mass of flowers in bloom, and I delight each day they are still holding together or more have taken the place of the ones that lost their petals.

What changed? I've no idea.

Sometimes it's not what you do, it's just how it happens.

  4. Some of my roses have gone nuts, I don't know whether you have had humidity there but we have here and they seem to like it.

    1. Maybe it is the humidity? Cos there has been a bit of that of late...

  6. Roses can be so finicky but yours look great - finally! It will be months before my neighborhood roses bloom. I gave up on growing roses years ago, but yours are worth - fighting for??

  7. G'day Lydia! I'm not much of gardener. Sometimes I think I have a black thumb of death. I do have a couple of miniature rose bushes. When they're small, they don't seem to burst with blooms but eventually they produce a number of pretty flowers. I have one in a pot on my porch which I haven't decided if I want to put it in the ground. Assuming it survives the winter and the one in the ground gets a bit out of control. It's also not in a good location. I don't like digging in the yard anymore, so I don't know what I'll do. Thanks for sharing and for joining us on the dance floor. Have a boogietastic week, my dear! ~CAAC

  8. No roses where I am....it was -15C on Sunday but today it's warm at -1C...in Niagara Region, Ontario, Canada. Your roses look great! The song is funny and, I'm not 9ne for this music, but I liked it. I think roses smell much better than what they sang.
