Newbies, write a story in 100 words exactly or one less than 30 words. Then link your blog (or don't if you don't have one).
She
knew she wasn't meant to talk to strangers but surely this time was different?
He was not like anyone she had ever met before. She would tell her parents when
they got home. It wouldn't be a secret. She was bored and he made her laugh. She
was always alone. She knew she could run away from him if things got scary.
She moved a little closer to hear what he was saying, but he stopped talking
and looked away, busying himself with his shoelace.
Have a great month!
Yet another I want to rad more of! Will try to pop back and write something :)
ReplyDeleteOh I wish it was 200 words, I want more!
ReplyDeletePerfectly done :) Like Amy, I will think on this and swing back later with a 30 or a 100.
ReplyDeleteYou have until the 10th, I think
DeleteI wish I was in a creative frame of mind. I'll read at the moment but no writing for me #teamIBOT
ReplyDeleteI did one of these once and found it so hard. I'm a woman of many words. Maybe that's why I need to practice doing this writing exercise.
ReplyDeleteI'm much the same. I think once my business diploma studies are done and dusted, I should jump on board.
DeleteHa ha! That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe following, very tired story, is what I wish I could do with the book that I'm reading right now.
'No, no, no!' Jess exclaimed. The characters looked at her surprised. She was dressed oddly and had appeared out of nowhere.
'Now look, you two. This is book 6 of a 7 book series, and your relationship has had more ups and downs than a roller coaster. I know, that you think you can wait to make things official, but you can't! This author is brutal! She keeps tearing you apart! So I'm going to go back to reading this story, and you two take this moment right now, or so help me, I'm throwing the book out the window!'
hee hee
DeleteHahaha! I love it!
ReplyDeleteOK - here's mine. I'm going for the hundred today:
One, two, three, four … twenty seven, twenty eight … forty three, forty four … seventy five, seventy six … ninety nine, one hundred … one hundred and fifty two, one hundred and fifty three.
When would it end? How much further?
Alison was on the road to nowhere but she still had to reach her destination. Counting her steps helped with the monotony of it all.
There were things to do and people to see, but she couldn’t do any of it until she’d walked the distance.
She pushed through the final kilometre.
She’d arrived.
Treadmills are like that.
I was thinking about this linky the other day actually!
ReplyDeleteShe enjoyed mowing the lawn, it was good for thinking. As she rounded the plum tree, Lucy asked herself if she needed him at all.
This is fab. It's amazing how much you can furnish a story in so few words....
DeleteLove this story! You had me totally hooked. Thanks so much for linking up with me on the Life and Style Link Up. xo
ReplyDeleteOmar watched from his perch behind the counter of his tobacconist shop as a man entered and pretended to look at the rack of caps emblazoned with sayings he didn’t really understand such as “Sorry for the Realness!”.
ReplyDeleteThis was the dance. What was he really after? He didn’t look like he was going to try and rob the place which meant one of two things, neither on public display.
“Hey, you sell videos?” he stammered. Omar nodded then walked across and locked the door.
“Come with me” he said to the man and led him out the back….
Heh heh - perfect!
