A Night at the Opera



We love the Opera, but the cost is prohibitive for us, so when I saw the special that threw in a free dinner with your ticket, we jumped at the chance. (It still was big bucks but psychologically it seemed cheaper).


We raced off to La Boheme, with it's glamorous Berlin pre-war sets (we'd just seen Cabaret a few days before so it fitted in nicely, continuing the theme).









But the real show stealer, as always, is the building itself and the view from the Sydney Opera House at interval!

When you're there, you can't help loving life.

    Those roosters are awesome! I wouldn't mind seeing an opera, is it as emotional as I imagine it would be?

      Sometimes but usually it's so over the top (like a Soap Opera) that it isn't. I saw a Madame Butterfly once that made me cry.

    Wow! I love La Boheme and the sets sound gorgeous. I have always wanted to see that amazing Opera House. One day, I hope to get there.

    I imagine it would be a wonderful experience. I went to the Bolshoi Ballet many years ago to see Swan Lake and I was completely captivated by the music, the dancers and the whole performance. It was magical. #TeamLovinLife

    Oh, it sounds great and I love the idea of dinner etc... I've only been to the Opera once and it was a bit tedious but the venue wasn't particularly nice either! #teamlovinlife
