Starting school means back to obligations, time frames, extra curricular and making lunches. It's a dull routine which I don't thrive in. So I'm not talking about that. I'm showing you my fun welcome back to Sydney week - Two concerts, a show, an indulgence at the day spa and just generally loving life!
So while I'd rather be travelling, I'm happy to call this beautiful city my home.
I can't believe we have 10 more weeks of this!
Do you love the school term? Do you look forward to the start of the school year?

What a glorious city, I love the concert photo
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
I can't make out who that is at the concert. I think this means I need new glasses. Thanks for the smattering of Sydney photos :) #LifeThisWeek
ReplyDeletePaul Weller and Macklemore...not the best photos - my phone is crap (hint, hint Samsung???)
DeleteI like the light in them...one's like a spaceship is about to beam him up and the other is like he's radiating a star...
DeleteThis was my first term start and I'm a bit overwhelmed....
ReplyDeleteSSG xxx
The overwhelming soon turns to tediousness...but shhh, you aren't meant to say that!
DeleteI won't say a word...
DeleteIt is both a good and a not so good thing being back at school I agree! I am actually going to be doing a bit of Sydney re-exploring tomorrow afternoon as we are staying overnight before my surgery on Wednesday a.m. I am distracting myself with looking forward to seeing Sydney sights again. Thank you for joining in #lifethisweek 6/52. Next week's optional prompt is "Who's a Worrier?".
ReplyDeleteI am housebound tomorrow waiting for repair man, otherwise I'd meet you for a cuppa!! Good luck Wednesday!
DeleteMy 5 year old is LOVING school so far!
ReplyDeleteIt's good if the kids love school. Mine do (well, the high schoolers are a different story ;) but I just count down the days til the end of term...
DeleteMy good friend is on a flight to Australia right now! Maybe someday I will make it. I love your first photo especially. Happy school days!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of Sydney!
ReplyDeleteAs a retired teacher I am loving term time as I can do as I please with no more prep, marking, meetings, admin etc, etc. I do miss the children though. No two days were ever the same.
ReplyDeleteI'm a retired teacher too and agree, it's the kids you miss the most! Not the paper work or meetings!
DeleteI enjoy the night photography.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
I love how you're all just beginning the school year and we're just about half through!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. I'd love to visit some day.

Lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your photos :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely shots! Enjoy your time in school. Life flies by so fast!
ReplyDeleteSo many nice photos. I have always wanted to visit Australia but the long flight time is daunting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sydney shots! My friends moved back a year ago after we all left Munich at the same time. Can't wait to visit them! :D #sundayphoto
ReplyDeleteSince I was in school for a long time myself, I don't think about it as "school," more interested if whoever is in school, is learning! Beautiful night shots!
ReplyDeleteYour photos of the city are awesome! It is a lovely place to live...sorry you are stuck in school mode, though. We stopped having to do that long ago.
ReplyDeleteI'm choosing the lighted bridge in background as my favorite. Does look like a beautiful city. :)

After so many years where routine was based around school terms, these days I forget - except for when I venture out at 8am or 3pm...or the carpark at Mooloolaba is packed. Great pics of Sydney - love the concert shot. #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteI no longer have any kids at school so it's not a thing for me anymore. I'm off to the beach on holidays on Saturday which was well planned for AFTER school holidays when it's cheaper and less busy! I must agree Sydney is a beautiful city. I love a visit there! #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteThose days are well and truly behind me, but I must admit I do find it kind of a relief when the school holidays are over so that my beach becomes a little less crowded. #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteI love school holidays and lack of routine on the home front. Only have one daughter left at school now, she is in year 11. #feelingold
ReplyDeleteOh I am with you, don't mention back to school just live life to the full! Gorgeous Sydney shots. Thank you for linking up to #PointShoot 📸
ReplyDeleteI don't have kids so the terms really only impact me in terms of my friends' availability or - more so when I lived in the city - the impact on traffic and my commute!
ReplyDeleteMy mum tells me that she loved holidays when we were kids and really enjoyed the time we were home. I think things were different then though. We didn't have lots of outings or anything and had lots of neighbourhood friends so required minimal entertainment etc... #teamlovinlife
Gotta love Sydney and all it has to offer! I don't mind the school term because working from home during the school holidays can be quite a challenge :) #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely! And this, Sydney, you call home. Wow! #pointshoot xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely city, and coming from a Melburnian that is quite a compliment :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking part in the My Sunday Best meme.
