One third of the year is over...

I am surprised to learn that we are well into 2019. I feel it's just begun. I'm still trying to get our money back from the travel insurer for the trip that we cancelled in January...so in my head it's still the start of the year as I seem to be anchored in that period.

It has been a big start to the year with travel and milestone celebrations and plenty of concerts and parties.

There's been some health issues too, but hopefully they'll slowly mend or recover.

I'm not feeling organised or efficient these days, nor am I feeling I'm moving ahead.

So to write - I've not written either story I'd intended on the break. I've not done anything of purpose.
I will be mindful of the time for the next third, and hope to look back in 4 months and feel I've become a little more direction driven, instead of buffeting around as flotsam in the waves of the calendar.

  1. I can't believe you're still waiting for that money! What a palaver! I think starting the year with concerts, parties and holidays is the perfect way to spend your time and full of the best kind of purpose! Hope the next four months are just as fun and fulfilling (and that the health issues get ironed out.)

  3. Hi Lydia, trying to get refunds can be so frustrating and time consuming can't it? I hope it is sorted for you soon. Be kind to yourself and feel healthy before you start worrying about all the things you haven't got to during the first third of the year. #lifethisweek

  4. I'm not feeling very organised at the moment either. I hope you find focus in the coming months as well!

  5. It must be so frustrating for you having to continue to deal with the insurance for your trip! I do hope it can be finalised soon. I know what you mean about not doing anything of purpose, so I hope you can feel more energised and organised in coming weeks. #lifethisweek

  6. Getting money back...it's the pits and you have to do all the chasing. I can understand why you still feel it's the beginning of the year. I hope the health issues are resolving. Hate those but accept they are part of life...sigh.
