I think I'm still not quite back for real - I've written and submitted a number of stories and I'm not ready to lose that momentum.
I've been out and about and done a bit of exploring.
I'm trying to work out if there's any point in booking a holiday in April - it will be our last chance in this HSC year. It just all seems a little pointless and then where to go? Not sure I'm ready for planes...(I know, right?! Who is this person????)
And I'm sure there's a story in that.

Hi Lydia we were hoping to plan a trip to Tasmania in October but who knows what life will look like by then. WA just went into a 5 day lockdown a day after opening their borders! Have a great week. #lifethisweek
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to work out what to do in April and was sort of thinking NT and now don't know if there's any point...I hate what this is doing to my thinking
DeleteLovely pics. Well done on the writing and submitting. I've got a huge list on a whiteboard in my study and just keep crossing the competitions and opportunities out as the dates come and go.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard that about Vietnam's numbers. We keep hearing about Covid in the sewerage so I'm sure there must be undetected cases about.
But again... we're very fortunate here.
It only happened a few days ago. For some reason it's really messed with me. I think bacuase I got caught in my own border fiasco at xmas and it just occured to me that it isn't going to 'vanish' like I somehow thought.
DeleteI've been loving your out & about pics on the 'gram. Mostly though I love the idea of the Unnecessoiree.
ReplyDeleteApparently I'll be hosting parties all year the minute we're allowed to - like a bingo - pick a date and see if you can have your allotted number of people over.
DeleteGreat photos - love the first one in particular for some reason - the colours and pattern. Good luck with the stories you've submitted. We've booked six nights at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast for mid Feb. As long as there is not another Metro Brisbane lockdown all should be ok. Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a party unnecessoire although I would argue that it's very necessoire because in these unusual times, we have to find the fun where we can! I'm the same re planes. I can't bear the thought of booking interstate (let alone international) now that borders are opening and closing with wild abandon! What a time to be alive!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a weird headspace. We have credits to use so it's not even really about the money - because it's already sitting in a credit...
DeleteNice pics Lydia I like the patterns and the out and about ones the reflection is quite impressive :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a snaptastic safe week 😷😷😷
We cancelled all our travels last year and just went to the boat a few times. You can do that and not be around other people. It worked out. We don't have any travel plans for this year. Boating again. It's all good. We're happy and healthy so no complaints here.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week. ♥
Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard planning for holidays, isn't it? I know I'm overdue a break but at the same time, not game enough to book anything just yet. Love the pics and glad to hear the writing is going well!
ReplyDeleteInteresting and beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteThat first photo - wow! I think it would be disorienting to be in that room.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2021/02/black-and-white.html
Glad you are back! Was to the point to write you if something (good) was going on with you! Wish I could come to your party, but it's a little bit far, lol. That dotted room is dizzying! For me no robots! Thanks you so much for sharing the latest developments with All Seasons, I missed you! Jesh
ReplyDeleteyay for seeing you back with pictures and musings. The 30 number came one week after we had to have 5 at two Wedding Anniversary Lunches at home with the family. So frustrating. The way covid is jumping around I would not be keen to travel out of state even with the desire or money to do so. Thank you for joining us this week for #lifethisweek. Next time, the optional prompt is 6/51 Decision. 8 Feb. and I hope to see your next blog post there too. Cheers, Denyse.
ReplyDeleteOver here in the UK the whole COVID thing is a total nightmare! I hadn't read the recent numbers from Vietnam, that is dispiriting
ReplyDeleteWouldn't mean anything in comparison to what you guys are dealing with but they went from zero cases for months and then overnight 100 and within 5 days over 400 and rising....tit just made me realise we don't really get to relax at 0 case...
Delete...those dots sure captured my attention.
ReplyDeleteLove those dots!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your story submissions. Pretty sky reflection on the water. It does seem hopeless some days with this Covid. US numbers are not so good, but looked better, I guess the last couple of weeks. I got the first vaccination because figure less of the two evils and if a lifeline thrown, I'm taking it so we'll see how all that goes, I'm hopeful because I prayed a lot about it. I only see my one son and family and grandson. Not daughter because she's a Nurse who has to work with the Covid patience now and again since numbers in our local area got worse. No parties, but has been years since a party at my place. No fun now that my hubby is gone. But, do look forward to meeting up with sisters and friends for lunch once again. Happy week.
ReplyDeleteI really hope the vaccination roll out helps the US. It's difficult watching what's going on all over the world. Good luck to your daughter - it's been amazing what these hospital staff are doing! Ditto if you watch the efforts of Medicins Sans Frontiers. They are really going in and setting up clinics to help countries with one ventilator (like Mali). Just extraordinary. Stay safe and I hope you get a little more 'normality' back soon.
DeleteWe have to learn not to lose our momentum when a goal is in mind. Your photos are lovely to see. I do hope travel will be safe soon, but even here in New Zealand, it's quite complicated!
ReplyDeleteThank you for being a part of 'My Corner of the World' this week!
Lucky for those who can travel or just see family and friends..Not for us here in the US although others will...stay safe...Michelle
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to blogland, Lydia, let's hope the widespread vaccination worldwide will make this nightmare go away...
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme.
Am I seeing that right - are you a writer? Wishing you success - who knows where it will lead to! About vacations - am not hoping for anything this year, but if it happens , I sure will go to wherever I can:) Thank you so much for sharing the dizzying -crazy (good)dotted room with All Seasons - and hope you can see it in perspective - Vietnam is a long way from Australia! Jesh
