Emotionally we are carrying a weight that seems to hold us back from normal exhuberence.
I guess we have to remember we are viewing the world through a dull filter at the moment, and hold tight to our memories of the original image and the promise that it will return.
Stay safe and stay home everyone. We need to get back to the fun stuff!

...it looks good in black and white too.
ReplyDeleteIn the same boat... doesn't seem that we'll be getting out of it anytime soon. Photography helps though!
ReplyDeleteLovely shapes! Lachezar is right - photography helps to see the beauty.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a book cover. Hope things open up soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image. I wish the world will brighten up.
ReplyDeleteyes, lock downs limits our lives. Nice catch of the skyline.
ReplyDeleteIt seems as if that situation will never end. J'espère que les choses iront très vite mieux pour vous en Australie
ReplyDeleteMoi aussi!
DeleteExcellent metaphor!
ReplyDeleteFrom time to time, however, a "new wave" is announced and the filter is put on us again, until we forget the original ...
What an accurate metaphor. Your subdued photo is still pretty.
ReplyDeleteA timely reminder that the real world is waiting to return.
ReplyDeleteA sad metaphor of our matrix!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this image!
Happy WW!
Thank you for sharing this on Traffic Jam Weekend. It is my pick for a fave feature for this week's link party that goes live on Thursday at 5:00 pm CST.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that. I was so chuffed when I say the post. I can't add the feature badge (or the link up badge) for some reasons. My blog seems a bit temperamental when it comes to badges...
DeleteStill a lovely photo though.

DeleteThat's really profound what you said about viewing the world through a dull filter. I think it's down to our personal perspective, we all definitely see things in our own way. #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteThis latest peak has really got me discouraged and it really does feel like looking at things through a filter. Good reminder that eventually we should get our color back #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteA great photo, lets hope we are all looking through a different filter soon. Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS.
ReplyDeleteIt does look good in black and white x #kcacols
ReplyDeleteIt's a good analogy, about life in lockdown being a subdued and not as colourful version of what life should be like. I hope you are out of your latest lockdown by now, and that it will be the last. Life should be lived, not just survived... Thanks so much for linking p with #KCACOLS! x
ReplyDeleteBut hopefully survived and lived as well!! We're making some precarious decisions here at the moment.
