An evening walk

This pictoral is an evening walk, one evening last week when I popped out to see a short musical performance.

A short cut through back streets found this lovely work by Sharon Billinge.

King Street was adorned for Mardi Gras.

The Dendy had a  dragon dance for the New Year.

Chippendale was all about the Ibis

The show at Phoenix was mesmerising

I walked out to the most glorious reflected sunset and made my way to the train station home.

The birds were going wild but I couldn't get any decent shots. So while I could have driven to the show in less than 10 mins, I really enjoyed the walk and all the sights to see along the way. Often the journey is as good at the destination.

  1. Good morning lydia, I enjoyed your evening walk again with the photos along with it. And that street art what you saw is really super nicely made. I just googled her name and saw that she had made a lot of beautiful art before. So it's part of Perfect Match. and this kind of art had quickly become one of Australia's most beloved Street Art programs. The program originated as a unique initiative addressing unwanted tagging and graffiti. And so also a very nice inniative. So for street art lovers really nice to go and explore them all.

Had also once seen that not only street art is beautiful but also the public artworks are not lacking there at your area. But also liked the other photos though. As you had seen the reflected sunset and photographed it.👌 I would like to point out that some photos are not positioned correctly or are too large and therefore overlap the sidebar, which makes it difficult to read.

Maybe it is a tip to test another theme or something like what I have the Dynamic views Flipcard because then they press more on the photos on their phone etc. Because I think your blog is really interesting and deserves more visitors too. Greetings, Tine NL

  8. Yes..."Often the journey is as good at the destination" I see so many people taking a walk with ear buds while the spring birds are singing....why block that out?.
