Beach Season

While still Spring, we are taking every opportunity to pretend it's Summer. Any excuse to get to the beach, to get out on the harbour, even though for some of us (me) it's too cold to swim.

We spent the weekend down the coast and while the kids spent hours in the water, I could feel an icy chill coming off the water even just standing near it. Arctic currents!

It was relaxing taking in the fresh air, enjoying being outdoors and offline.

So bring on the real Summer!

  2. While we live not very far from the ocean, we hardly ever go there. Looks like a lot of fun. You have inspired me to go there more often.

  4. Loving the golden sand, most of the beaches where I live are covered in rocks and pebbles.

  5. That sounds lovely! I am so bummed that I didn't take the chance to get to the beach even once this summer. It's a good hour or so drive so it's not something I can just pop over and do on a whim but each year I say I'm going to go and it so rarely happens.

  6. While you are awaiting summer we slowly are approaching winter. On the mountains there are snow caps yet. Your pics remind me of summer holidays.
Have a good time and all the best

  7. Brrrrrrreach! Nah, definitely too cold for the beach! Espceially here on the coast where we still get the huge frigid waves from the Antarctic! Nice beach shots, though, Lydia! Thanks for hosting.
