One thing I loved about Paris is that you don't even need a guide book to learn it's history - just look up. Everywhere you go there are signs of who lived and died in buildings. It brings a vibrancy of the past to the present.

I think street art needs to be in more places - literally.
ReplyDeleteI love the little surprises that are everywhere on the walls of Paris buildings. The street sign for Avenue de la Motte Picquet was very nostalgic — the year we lived in Paris we were only a few steps from that street.
ReplyDeleteNice and fun ones you found! 40 years ago I was in Paris, too - did not spot one mural ;-)
ReplyDelete...Lydia, you found some wonderful street art!
ReplyDeleteParis really is an open-air museum! It definitely pays to keep your eyes looking up there!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds Lydia. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.
ReplyDeleteI love that "just look up" mindset. Paris is the ultimate open-air museum. Those Invader mosaics and Seth’s murals really make the city feel alive, especially in the 13th arrondissement where they're everywhere.
