On Sunday, I spent the day at Antidote - at three talks from midday until 9pm at night. We had a leisurely lunch at Botanic House and I saw 5 different friends across the course of the day. It was fabulous to spend so much time at the Opera House and Botanic Gardens, while also learning and thinking a little.
It was the perfect antidote to many of the COVID blues.
.
What did you love this week?
I am glad you experienced much that you love and need here. You sure did miss your Sydney "life" in COVID. xx
ReplyDeleteSO MUCH!! I'm eyeing off festivals...that's what I'm hoping for. Still wearing a mask and much happier in a spaced venue...look like we're a little scarred or sensibly cautious...
DeleteSounds like a fabulous day! It feels good to get out and about a bit doesn't it? We're very lucky here. Hope things stay good! x
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to see that. It looked interesting when it popped up in my emails.
ReplyDeleteOh, look at that. I said: "I´d like to see `Phantom of the Opera` here" and Hubby replied, "OK, when we come back we go!". 6 months later it was not running anymore, I´ve never seen the place from the inside. One of the things that would´ve been a "once in a lifetime"...
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you for visiting my blog. I see, you´re from the other side of the world :-) Greetings from Austria to Australia.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Gerda
Fantastic photos Lydia! Wishing great Advent time. Greetings from Finland.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I'm so glad you got some rest and rejuvenation! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat great shots I enjoyed those sounds like a good time too :-)
ReplyDeleteHave an antidotetastic safe week 😷😷😷
Nice shots. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
Great photos! I hope you're staying healthy - we're spiking like mad here in the US. Having a president who waffles and sets a poor example hasn't helped. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2020/12/i-miss-fall-colors.html
We have no community transmission at the moment, so it seems to be only returning travellers in hotel quarantine. Fingers crossed it stays that way!! You stay safe. I worry for all of you over there (and in Europe). It's a nasty virus.
DeleteIsn't it wonderful when we can return to the things we love? I really enjoyed your photos of the Opera House.
ReplyDeleteAwesome looking Opera house. Glad things are good over there. That has to be great to feel normal again. Has to be a relief. We're still bad in US. Praying Ohio doesn't head back to lock down. Thanks for sharing your photos of your time out and about.
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteinteresting building and love the garden and that unique sculpture
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, thanks for taking us along!
ReplyDeleteYou live such an interesting life. You do so many cool things. I wish I lived closer to you because I'd love to do so many of the things you do. Thanks for always taking us along on your fun stuff
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas
xoxo
Great pictures and some interesting angles in the final few. I really must see the Opera House for myself one day.
ReplyDeleteSuch unique views! I'm glad you got to be out and about.
ReplyDeleteYour link at 'My Corner of the World' this week is an exciting addition! Thanks for joining us!
Beautiful shots, Lydia. Isn't it lovely to live almost normally now? Poor USA and Europe are having a hard time with COVID, and I suspect other countries around the world, which are nor reporting as much are also having a hard time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme.
