I've been out an about a lot since lockdown ended, and the festive season is ramping up. I'm loving it!
As a result, I've been pinged with the following message a few times.
While it says to do nothing, I have done home tests before meeting up with friends or the elderly. Just to be safe. Priceline has them for $9.99 and if you are in their club, you can use points to pay, so even cheaper. I've a number of them on hand at all times.
We were at a play last night on among other things, selfish privileged male behaviour, and ironically, a couple of men in the audience didn't wear their masks despite being asked to in the tiny theatre. I guess the whole meaning of the play fell on deaf ears - no idea why they even attended.
Please stick with the masks regardless of what the Government says. If you choose to be unvaxxed don't be an a-hole with a fake cert. It's selfish.
Be considerate of others, and at all times, go the extra mile, rather than the minimum. Now is the time to be aware of the impact of our behaviour on others. We are more than individual waves, we are the ocean.
This is the second last #Allseasons for the year. Next week's will be the last and open for a month, and open Friday as I'm, Omicron numbers permitting, heading off to the Hunter.
1. All Seasons is open from Sunday through Wednesday 5pm, Sydney Time.
2. Please link one 'seasonal' post a week.
3. Make sure you link back to this #AllSeasons post.
4. Please comment on the post before yours. Don't dump and run!
We don't go to the parties anymore. It's been years. We just stay home so we won't be around anyone. Safety first and you're doing it right.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
Selfish behaviour really annoys me. I don't think people realize it's not just about us, it's about those who wouldn't last a second if they caught covid, we have plenty of people like that here too.
ReplyDeletePeople are so very sad. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteParty, party!!! We won't be having our family get-to-gether again this year. About half our kids aren't vaccinated for different reasons. One, a grandchild-in-law (is there such a thing?) had to be admitted for the hospital for about three weeks. He was very serious. Another thinks she is immune because she had it lightly when the COVID first surface, besides she is in waiting for another type of vaccine because no one knows the end results of taking ours. We don't want to mix these with those vaccinated because of bleed-through or give it to the unvaccinated.
ReplyDeleteI like your window Reflections, the last is my favorite.
..
It's quite a stress. We are going to qa 100th birthday celebration and I want to insist everyone does a home test (because of the vulnerablity of the age of some of the guests, even tho vaxxed). As I'm just a guest, not really party of the family, I don't think I can but I just think it['s stupid not to. I will be making my kids do one - every one is vaxxed but me and the 21 year old go out a lot.
Delete...that neon heart would be festive in all seasons. Enjoy the season!
ReplyDeleteThe trials and tribulations of Post-COVID life, Lydia... You sum it up well and it's certainly something none of us could have imagined, say, three years ago. I had my 3rd (booster Pfizer) shot last Friday and unlike the first two doses, this one really knocked me about. Doctor's comment: "Ah good we know it's working now!" :-)
ReplyDeleteoh no! I have mine booked in and I have to take my daughter to the orthadontist and a show that night...but need to have it asap!! Yikes.
DeletePS: Thank you for hosting, Lydia!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, Lydia:) I guess you shortened the link time (since it's Monday here in the USA)? I notice that the vaccine and mask is on your mind. I am waiting, until it proves without side (some even in future) effects. This whole thing has become an agenda of fear and abuse of control - that's never good!!! Thank you for your Christmas wish and all the best to you in the New Year:)
ReplyDeleteData out of Japan makes it abundantly clear the benefits of masks (and lets face it, it causes no harm). Our state after a week of idiocy and case numbers exploding and everyone's xmas ruined, has brought them back. So that was just stupidity at it's finest. Now while we are not in lockdown, we can't do anything because all the shows (at the theatre) are canceeld, restaurants closed and planes not operational because all the cast and staff have to isolate. Can't even begin how it's ruined the holidays for everyone. I am waiting to see if my concert on NYD is cancelled. I'll be furious if it is.
