Chills

I had debated getting the tickets to the Michael Sheen play at the Opera House at Xmas because they were so pricey but in the end begrudgingly got them, wondering if I thought it would be 'my sort of thing'. However, when this made the rounds, I'm most glad I did!

I have watched this so many times now and it still gives me chills in my neck at the end.

Michael Sheen gives rousing speech for Wales football team on A League of Their Own – video | Football | The Guardian

Watch it, and be ready to storm the castle....

Bring on the World Cup! Whose excited??!!

Sharing this completely irrelevant sunset for #WeekendReflection #NaturesNotes (photo only) #HappyTuesday #WordlessWednesday #WonderfulWednesday #WWOAT  #SkyWatch and #PictorialPotpurri

What's the #OneSmallThing that made you happy this week? And are we all going for Wales now (after Australia, of course)?

  2. Dear Lydia, why is this beautiful view of the sky completely irrelevant to you? It excites me!
I almost didn't recognize Michael Sheen with a full beard in the video. I like him as an actor. I can't do anything with football, it's not my thing ;-)
Unfortunately I could only link you to what made me happy in August, but I don't think that fits, right?

    1. I meant it's completely irrelevant to the World Cup! Ha. Yes, there will be more to come on that ferry ride home...it was extraordinary.

    2. The aim of the link up is to grow a more positive mindset - it was for me, really as I was getting overwhelmed by the crap things, not the good things...

    3. If you add a line about thinking about these things in August made you happy, then link away...

    1. Frost Nixon, Good Omens - you would have seen him in something....the beard is not his usual look on the screen

  6. I do not think that I have ever, ever seen a purple sunset! And it reflects the color on the water perfectly. It's amazing!

  8. Whoops - looks like I missed the party, although I did enjoy the photo. Thanks for sharing it at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2022/09/a-glimpse-of-city-of-brotherly-love.html. Our party stays open all week long, by the way, so you'll never be unable to join the fun!

  10. Such lovely colours. A rousing speech and no mistake. I wonder if he had been forewarned as to the subject, or created it on the spot? Either way it was excellent and worthy of his skills.

  14. Michael Sheen is such a favorite. Yep, I'm ready to suit up and help after that positive speech. Could listen to the accent of UK, Wales, and Australia always. Much better than American accents. :)

  15. After doing both, I'd take Wales over Aus. Be sure to go down in the slate mine. North Wales is beautiful.

  16. That's a beautiful picture the colors are stunning! Sadly it looks like the shop Boites à musique-Anna Joliet is gone. I'm not sure but I think it was still there in 2020 during my last Paris trip.
