I have helped people I barely knew and become friends in the process, and people have become more important to me because the way they've swept in during my time of need.
It's great if you can be there for the people that helped you, but just remember what that support meant to you, and pass it one whenever you can.
Don't wait for it to be close friends or family. Do it wherever you can.
Let's make the world a little easier for more people when we can.
Short and sweet for #ThankfulThursday
I so agree with you. Being kind and helping where you can is the very best of feelings.
ReplyDeleteLove the video. Often we don't know what a kindness has done for someone else.
Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
Lovely post and something to thing about.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but depending on whether I'm using a computer or a phone, I'm not always able to leave a comment message. I don't understand why. Anyway i'm always interested in what you show in your blog
ReplyDeleteNo worries, but with the link ups, it's about building community, and I have had to start to delete people that don't follow the instructions. So I give everyone at least one warning.
DeleteLydia,
ReplyDeleteBeing a friend doesn't take much effort and you just never know like you said what that friendship might mean to someone. Sending a text or call a friend can light up a person's perhaps otherwise mundane or gray day. If we're all little kinder then the world would be an improved place each day. Thanks for joining the 4M dance party. I'm thankful for the many friendships I've picked up in Blogosphere. :) Have a boogietastic week, my dear!
I have a feeling that most all of those who have succeeded in life have had a friend (or a neighbor, or someone else) who has come along in just the right moment and made a difference, no matter how small. I hope I have been that someone for someone. Perhaps I will never know. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteA wonderful sentiment and I think even more important in the lead up to Christmas! Thanks for linking up #DreamTeam
ReplyDeleteLovely sentiments Lydia, you sound like an awesome friend to have! #wwandpics
ReplyDeleteYes to this...and you are a kind friend, I know that for sure. Thank you for sharing your post for Wednesday’s Words and Pics. It is great to have you be a part of this blogging community & there are two more Wednesdays before a little break until Wed 4 January 2023. See you next week too I hope. Denyse.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, so important to remember. I can be quite generous sometimes - when I feel I can afford to be (mostly in a financial sense) and I try to communicate the fact that I feel lucky and privileged and want to share that - without expecting anything ever in return. I worry it'll seem like charity or that I'm patronising but if I dare admit it I'd say I feel #blessed and want others to feel that too. But I'm not sure I'm always successful at getting that across.
ReplyDeleteLet's do it!
ReplyDeleteYou never know what a kind gesture can do for a person. I enjoy paying it forward and I find it to be very much appreciated. Thank you for linking up.
