I've written a bit about curiosity so I'll try not to repeat myself. Not a day goes by without me having to 'fact check' or google something. I love that I can.
Guardian full story mentioned UK kids were shorter due to the austerity measuses of the last 14 years. I had to fact check.
At lunch someone wondered if you could lose your drivers license if you were riding a bike drunk (you can but it's not always, sometimes just a hefty fine).
I can't watch a movie without googling at least one actor for what else I've seen them in or their age.
I think people over look this part of happiness. It's not as elusive as people like to think. Happiness is in learning and expanding thinking. If you take notice, you'll find out Happiness is in finding out!
And that is why the entire quote is "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back!"

ReplyDeleteWhen we go on our family vacation. The way I entertain myself is googling the small towns we go through. Almost every small town has somebody at least "almost famous" who lived there or they some horrific crime or something. I google prisons we pass and there is always somebody notorious who is living there now.
I don't get why it drives people crazy - why don't they want to know?? ha! Glad it's not just me....

DeleteOh yes, I know that kind of happiness too! Edi and I are constantly googling because we want to know something in more detail. Or because we are discussing a topic and we are both unsure. Or we are both sure, but have opposite opinions ;-DDD

ReplyDeleteOh I am the exact same way! Can't think of who sang this song or when it came out? Google it! Who is the oldest singer/band still performing and going out on tour? Google it! I don't often remember it but I do love to share it with anyone around me. :)

ReplyDeleteI look things up all the time. Sometimes I just ask Siri and she answers, but unfortunately, she misunderstands me about half the time so then I have to go to Google or DuckDuckGo.
