When life imitates art...

I was wandering around waiting to pick up takeaway (shout out to Dumpling Master - it's the bomb!) when I saw these ibis.

They didn't look real, and the whole scene reminded me of the mural in Chippendale....

  4. HA! That's really awesome – you're right, the ibis is trying to recreate the mural 😁 It's probably the same ibis we met in Sydney / The Rocks last year. It was hanging around near the museum and is therefore probably artistically inspired: https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2024/04/weltreise-2024-2-station-sydney.html 😉 By the way, I find the murals in your Chippendale post generally impressive.
Thanks for telling me that your uncle was a folk singer and met Pete Seegar a few times. I almost didn't recognize Ed Norton in that role, even though he didn't have any makeup on! (I thought to myself, I know him from somewhere and pondered and pondered. It took a while before I could connect the friendly / calm face with the actor who so often plays evil or devious characters! 😂)
    All the best, Traude
