Down the road, there is a rose that smells deliciously sweet like a lolly. I climb their fence to inhale the aroma every time I pass it on the dog walk. It makes me so happy in that moment when it hits me.
"I would rather be defeated by the wondrous fragrance of flowers than by anything else" (I can't find who said that so if you know, let me know and I'll amend)

Beautiful flowers, they make me happy!
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a happy day!
Thank you for sharing your delightful flowers with us today! Aloha dear
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely reflection on the joy flowers bring into our lives! It’s so sweet how you tend to your rose, even if it only blooms infrequently—sometimes the rare beauty is even more special. The smell of the rose down the road sounds like a little daily treasure, and I love how you describe the frangipani as a painting. Flowers really do seem to touch the soul in ways nothing else can. As for the quote, it’s often attributed to the philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre, but I understand if you want to double-check.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit of a flower freak, I have cottage garden like ones in my garden...roses, calendula, alyssum to name a few.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteLove the flowers and love that quote. So true.
