WATCHED Conclave - again. I went to see it when we got back from Japan and fell asleep almost immediately due to jetlag. I was glad when my friend suggested it and I loved it. I thought it was really interesting all the political machinations of how the church has distorted from it's original intentions. And a great film for now as it feels like we are watching it in real time. Interestingly my friend found it a little boring. It's funny how we can sit next to each other and watch the same thing and experience two very different things. I guess there's a lesson in there somewhere.
HEARD This is my new favourite song. I'd LOVE Don Diablo to come out.
The photo however is of one of my lovely Kitten D'amour dresses.
I had initially thought "I've not really done much this month" but when I look at Insta to prod my memory, I then find it so hard to choose which three topped the list. And I guess that is something to really appreciate.
So that's about it for February from me. How was your month?

The shoes look very nice, I like the colour, I've found as i get older that my feet can't tolerate heels anymore. Last wedding I went to I swapped my heels for flats and they felt much better.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post
ReplyDeletePlease read my post
ReplyDeleteLaughed about the fancy dog walking shoes. Hope you are getting them broken in. They are very cute!
ReplyDeleteDear Lydia, as far as experiencing the same film (or book or play or painting...) differently is concerned, I think it has a lot to do with the mood of the day (or phase of life) and expectations... and with the thoughts that are going through your head at the current phase. It's also the case that I myself can suddenly like (or suddenly no longer find interesting) the same book (film etc.) when I read it 15 years later.
ReplyDeleteI hope the shoes are doing you good (I have a slightly skeptical expression on my face as I write this 😜😉).
I think it's great that you had such an eventful February.
Now I wish you a lovely March!

There is a saying 'you never read the same book twice' (because you are different each time)
DeleteSounds like you had a busy February, Lydia! From books and movies to Melbourne and friends, it's great you found so many little loves to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteLots to enjoy and you had a busy month! The music was interesting too.
ReplyDeleteConclave is definitely on my list of movies to see
ReplyDeleteThanks for dancing with the 4M crew, Lydia. I hope you have boogietastic week, my dear! xo
ReplyDeleteFor a short month, February was certainly busy for you! 😅 Avicii was such a talented guy. Thanks for the dance!
ReplyDeleteYou are so busy compared to me. But I hear you about the foot problems; mine isn't near that bad but I haven't been able to wear heels for years. The golden shoes are really nice looking and that first song had quite the beat.
ReplyDeleteNice choices. I like the shoes too.
ReplyDeleteLove Conclave! I was rooting for it to win. You were busy. I sat on my ass a lot...work and home....joint issues. I did reorganize our DVDs which was great to get done..now need to dust etc.. the music is funky.. not my bag but I can see it at raves and wild nights out. I don't wear high heels any more. I must buy expensive, supportive shoes due to my joints. Your shoes are pretty with the gold, I hope you don't get any blisters or cramping in the feet.
ReplyDeleteHaving a hard time picking some favorite moments for the month is a sure sign you had a really good one!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool February you had. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a good month last month. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie especially this time around.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds to me like you've done heaps this month Lydia, and your photos back that up. I'd love to see you out walking your dog in those gorgeous shoes. I've given up on fancy shoes now.
ReplyDeleteLoving your shoes and as always you've had a very culturally diverse month! Thanks for linking up with us at #WWWhimsy xo
ReplyDeleteA great roundup Lydia, you always find and share such cool events!! #Teamwwwhimsy
ReplyDeleteHi Lydia I enjoyed your post and as always you have had a very eclectic month. I love it! We watched Conclave just the other day and enjoyed it. A stellar cast and also the machinations behind selecting a new Pope fascinate me. I didn't see the outcome coming though. I love Instagram because it does remind us of what we've been up to - as long as we take the photos LOL :) #Teamwwwhimsy xx
ReplyDeleteI love that you had so many good moments this past month that it was hard to choose just three, Lydia. I haven't watched Conclave yet, but plan to. I'd like to watch all the movies nominated for Best Picture. So far, I've only seen A Complete Unknown, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
