Wandering in Paris

One thing I loved about Paris is that you don't even need a guide book to learn it's history - just look up. Everywhere you go there are signs of who lived and died in buildings. It brings a vibrancy of the past to the present.

The other benefit of looking up is the abundance of street art. It's everywhere - the mosaics of Invader, the large murals of SETH and so many more...

Paris is a delight for lovers of street art, it's everywhere.

You just need to look....

  1. I think street art needs to be in more places - literally.

  2. I love the little surprises that are everywhere on the walls of Paris buildings. The street sign for Avenue de la Motte Picquet was very nostalgic — the year we lived in Paris we were only a few steps from that street.

  3. Nice and fun ones you found! 40 years ago I was in Paris, too - did not spot one mural ;-)

  7. I love that "just look up" mindset. Paris is the ultimate open-air museum. Those Invader mosaics and Seth’s murals really make the city feel alive, especially in the 13th arrondissement where they're everywhere.

    1. It really is. On our trip, we did a lot of just wandering around 'enjoying the city' rather than tours.
