Little Prince goes to Barangaroo

We explored Barangaroo the other day, the Little Prince and I. There is something so special about walking near the water when the sun is out. With all the terrible things in our world, sometimes it's good to focus on the small day to day joys.

In that moment, I was truly loving life.

Little Prince is Lovin' Life (in the Imperial City, Hue)

After such a great April, I feel a little grind in the logistics of this week, all the carting kids and excel spreadsheets. I did submit my story for the Grieve competition but time to write has been minimal.

Anyway, I can still look fondly at the photos, and next weekend I'll be MIA as I head to Canberra with a crew of 10 friends from around the country.

If you're heading to Vietnam, I'd definitely include Hue - it was my favorite of all our 5 pitstops. Also, there's no Little Prince in the top photo, I just thought you might like to see where he was standing.

Little Prince on vacation in Vietnam

Still not officially back but a brief post for Wordless Wednesday.
The Little Prince saw and learnt a lot in Vietnam, and the most interesting lessons were that there are 2 sides to every story, even in history, that the world isn't as global as you think, and that tourists are idiots, even when I'm the tourist. (or maybe that should be especially when I'm the tourist).

A few weeks back we spent some time at Rafferty's Resort, and the Little Prince spent some time on the jetty.

He was really Lovin' Life, and so was I.

Anyone looking for some school holiday fun - Golf Paradise has a good chinese restaurant, and if you have lunch there, you get a free round of Putt Putt, so it's a great way to spend the afternoon. (or just go for putt putt).

Little Prince at Barangaroo

We had a blast building the Opera house with boxes at Barangaroo, and while the Little Prince was too small to join in the fun, he did enjoy the view. If you haven't been, make a trip to enjoy the stunning Sydney scenery while the Festival of Sydney activites are on. It's an excellent day out, with lots of hours of free fun.

Little Prince goes to the beach

We were lucky enough to snag a night away at this fabulous beach house - and the Little Prince came too. Alas my camera was eaten by the surf, and I'm now madly ebaying to buy a replacement (as the excess on insurance is more or less the same price as a replacement...). I did get to see two whales breaching, which was AMAZING, but the camera was already dead - and sometimes you just have to witness life with your bare eyes. Anyway, salvaged from the chip, here's what the little explorer saw....
