I was walking by the railway tracks and this Ibis let me get very close. I've mentioned here I always think of
this art work when I see them on bins like that.

I was excited to get the wings extended.

Coming home, the bonus sunset made me attempt to get the wings in full span, but alas, no luck!
How amazing to be so close to one of these birds.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Ibis, great collection of photos. I love the art work too.
ReplyDeleteLovely sunset! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great week.
First time I have ever seen an Ibis Sunset Shot. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThey don't call them bin chooks for nothing. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a big, beautiful bird! Nice you were able to get so close.
ReplyDeleteImpressive bird.

I was impressed by you being that close to an Ibis. Golly the beak is so long I wonder if it bumps into things. The ibis wings are huge but he/she looks awkward when landing. What a wonderful bird to see up close and personal. Thank you for the chance.
ReplyDeleteThere he stands, majestic, spreading his wings, and I don't know what is more beautiful, the ibis or the sunset? Both are probably magnificent in their perfection.
ReplyDeleteThat sunset is simply stunning! Thank you for sharing your snaps and for participating in #WeeklyWonders.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Lydia! Birds are hard to get pose well, but you have done extremely well with the Ibis! Many thanks for joining the "My Sunday Best" meme.
