Dinners and lunches in restaurants to 'catch up before Christmas'.
It's like a month long celebration.
Vorfreude is the joyful feeling you expereince from thinking about future plans.
And it is definitely the season for that!
Then there's Christmas, New Year and Holidays. I for one am LOVING that Sydney now has a Festival Season!
#Allseasons linky runs from Thursday to Wednesday each week.
Link one post that shows something seasonal. Traditional weather wise, a seasonal nature marker or a seasonal celebration or event. Please link relevant posts only.
Make sure you link back to this #AllSeasons post.
Please comment on the post before yours and the host. Don't dump and run.
Parties are fun! Take care, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm amazed – do you really say "VORFREUDE"? In German? I always find it funny when I discover German words in English, like "Wanderlust" or "Rucksack"... For English speakers, it's probably not quite so original, since English terms are used very frequently and readily worldwide. In any case, I'm very happy that you're enjoying the anticipation season!
ReplyDeleteI'm also sharing an Vorfreude-filled post with you today – it's from December 2023, and then we visited a wonderful Advent exhibition that put us in a Christmas mood.
... All the best and a wonderful Advent season 🕯️✨❣️, Traude
PS: Aside from the Christmas anticipation, my travelogue continues – after the introduction, I'm now starting with Toronto:

There are also a few pre-christmas parties for us. Wednesday before Christmas we have a "Weihnachtsfeier" as we call it in German with our tango argentino group. As my christmas post will come later I have linked one before snow came.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time and all the best
