One of the joys of Summer in Sydney is all the outdoor concerts. And none are more lovely than the six weeks of concerts at the zoo.
We opted to get there by ferry which makes the whole experience even more lovely.
With a good spot, you picnic with the sun going down over the harbour.
We even got fireworks during the show, no idea what they were for but they lit up the harbour in dazzling colours.
We went for Xavier Rudd with friends, so it was the perfect way to see out the season. Even the threatening rain stayed away until after the show.
If you are ever visiting Sydney in Feburary or early March, it's a must do!

Xavier Rudd's music is quite relaxing. We would have loved it too – and we did enjoy Taronga Zoo, including the ferry ride. We were actually in Sydney at the perfect time (February 19-22, 2024), but we apparently missed the Taronga Zoo Twilight Concert Season... Hmm...

Beautiful views, I am not familiar with the music. Sounds like a nice evening. Take care, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWhat an experience, nature and music blending so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds really good. I would love to visit these music festivals...but I think it is too far away to come there. And the view of the harbour and - probably one of the best known buildings in the world - the Sidney Opera House are great.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time and all the best

Outdoor concerts are wonderful if the weather cooperates. Nothing worse than a downpour during the show! Thank you for hosting, Lydia.
ReplyDeleteI love outdoor concerts. I’m in New York, dealing with winter weather, so jealous of you right now.

ReplyDeleteI would love so to be able to go to an outdoor concert right now. Although we are having a mild day today, winter returns tomorrow evening. But thank you for introducing me to this singer and his music. I really got into the second song. Yes, why are we so divided?

I so much enjoyed travelling by ferry over the waters there. The song by Xavier Rudd is also one of my favourites. Enjoy the concerts.
