I even enjoyed finally being able to wash the sheets and hang them outside. Seriously!
We finally got a good sunrise!
Walking the dog, everyone you passed would smile and nod or we'd chat about how great it was to have the warmth on our face.
Even though I didn't stop going out and about in the rain, I now FEEL like I've been making the most of our city!
For those of you that don't believe how much rain we've had, that lake below is normally a car park....
I got to walk to dinner at the fabulous Cafe Paci with friends.
I had dinner at the Opera House outdoors with the kiddo, before the fun of The 39 Steps. (While never watched any of her TV shows (can you believe it?!), I have to say Lisa McCune was excellent and definitely the highlight and the scene stealer! (It is on in Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Brisbane - book tickets here).

I've sent you a message on Insta as I couldn't find your email.
DeleteWe have a week of rain forecast so nothing planned until it ends except painting the inside walls of my house.
ReplyDeleteParty Central for sure where you are. Those first few sky shots of yours amazing!! I love the water views, and it looks like you are having a great time.
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous skies. Nothing better than palm trees adorning a pretty sunrise or sunset. Pretty shots of the bridge, too!
ReplyDeleteGreat sky colours.
ReplyDeleteI hope then weather is with you and that you can show your visitors a beautiful side of your region.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Your rainy comments made me think at first you were talking about Phoenix this week. Funny that you should both get blasted. It looks like you had a lot of fun this week. :)
ReplyDeleteI think we must have sent you our rain. We have had an unusually dry summer here in England. Love your photos.
ReplyDeleteThe drink looks delish!
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
...a beautiful and appropriate mural.
ReplyDeleteAmazing skies, Great series of photos. Beautiful mural.
ReplyDeleteGreetings
We've also had record rains in Perth this year! Fabulous sunset/sunrise photos. Love the little seal on the steps of the Opera House. Didn't know that Will.I.am song. Very catchy! The cat mural is very cute. Hope it attracts lots of cat adopters :) Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Lydia.
ReplyDeleteHello Lydia,
ReplyDeleteCute seal, he looks lonely. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy September, Enjoy your day and the week ahead.
Beautiful shots, beautiful views and beautiful sunshine. You've waited a long time for some sunshine. I got stuck on the food. I always get stuck on the food. Delicious.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Lydia. ♥
i remember Lisa, wasn't she part of Blue Heelers?
ReplyDeleteYes, I never watched any of those shows....
DeleteWow; those sunrise photos are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou were smart to wear sensible shoes!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great August. Beautiful sunrise and bridge photos. Thank you for your weekend coffee share.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful sunsets!! Hope things are dry for a while!
ReplyDeleteIt's raining right now here. A boom of thunder caught me off guard and I'm still shaking. LOVE the cat mural. You gave us a plethora of drinks this week for T Tuesday. Thanks beyond belief for sharing, Lydia.
ReplyDeleteThe sun is always nice after some rain. We need rain in my area though as we are in a drought. We did have a bit this past weekend though. It looks you've been having a fun time. Have a good time out with your visitors, and Happy T day too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your gorgeous photos! Happy t day-Sharon Foxy Stsmping
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a lot of rain indeed. Alas. When we came to Sydney in 1995 The Phantom of the Opera was on.
ReplyDeleteBut we found the perfect car right the next day and Ingo said, let´s go, we´ll go to the Opera when we come back.
Six months later... Something else was on, so I´ve never been in the Opera House. Having in mind I come from architecture... I could .... I should´ve dragged Ingo in!
Looks like you've had lots of fun, loving the Gatsby dresses and feathers, and the Will.i.am video is fabulous 😊. Wishing you a very happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of rain - we sometimes get this here, too, in the winter, and it is always welcome since it fills our reservoirs. Flooding, however, is not so cool. We just had a little bit of rain, much needed since we didn't have any for several months. The cat mural is great!
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos. Flapper or slapper, sensible shoes are a must. I love that Don't Tell Aunty. Good advice because in my family Auntie would tell Ma. 😺Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteSun rise or sunset, they are all beautiful. I wondered where all that was, until I saw the Opera House. That is a famous landmark.
ReplyDeleteWhat is that animal resting by the water? A seal?
The dressing up thing looks fabulous. I bet you had lots of fun and Don't tell Auntie sound delish too.
I loved the videos, especially the dancer.
And having a cat myself, I love the cat mural.
A belated happy T-Day,
Lisca
