I often don't get time to exercise properly during the day, so when possible, if going to dinner or a show, I try to walk there (up to an hour, so about 5km distance). That way I get some exercise in...though arrive a little sweaty and out of puff so need 10 mins or so to cool down and become civilised.
Funnily enough, a number of my friends have started joining me, if we're going together and work permits.
There is always something new. Or something worth seeing.
As pretty as nature is, the urban streetscape hides plenty of delights too.
And in super excitement, I'm seeing Jeremy Loops this weekend! Yay!!!
By the way by Jeremy Loops
Your walks have yielded a lot of cool murals. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.
ReplyDeleteI wish my neighborhood was even 10% as interesting as yours is. FYI, the video is unavailable in the United States. If you could add the information (artist and title) to your post, I would like to listen to it.
ReplyDeleteI was just about to ask …
DeleteHow strange. I've doen it now. He's so fab. A South African singer. Very famous in Europe and obvs RSA but less so here (Australia)
DeleteWalking to your performance is a good idea, that’s also my experience. And you’ve seen some nice things. I like the invader and the hand pointing to the theater.
ReplyDeleteSuch creative street art! Unfortunately, your video is unavailable in Canada. What song is it? I will try to find an alternative.
ReplyDeleteBy the Way, by Jeremy Loops. It may work now
DeleteWalking is good! Love the murals! Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteExercise and cool art are great reasons for a walk. Thanks for taking us along.
ReplyDeleteLydia,
ReplyDeleteWalking is a great way to get some exercising in and putting it together with something you enjoy like looking for art then that makes it fun. I'm happy you joined us on the dance floor. Just so you'll know, the video clip isn't working. What I learned to do when I think of it is to include the artist and song title in leading up to the YT video for anyone who runs into these sorts of issues. Have a boogietastic week, darlin'! xo
oh. Maybe it's in America as it's working here. Strange
DeleteI just found your blog today and wanted to let you know that the video is not available for myself, either. It says, "the uploader has not made this video available in your country"
ReplyDeleteWarm greetings from Montreal, Canada 😊 ❤️ 🇨🇦
I couldn't play the video here but went to YouTube and listened. Love some of these murals like the cat who seemed to have one too many and that first one which looks like the artist took a hit of acid before creating that coffee duo. I like it.
