How early is too early?

This was in our street on the 1st of November!


I feel in Australia you should wait until at the very least the day after Melbourne Cup. Even if you don't celebrate the Cup. It just seems too early! 

Personally I wait until December, and usually the Sunday before Christmas.

What say you?

    I’d like to see people wait till after Thanksgiving here which is in late November. Personally I don’t start until mid December.

    I agree, Lydia, it's far too early. In my parents' generation Christmas decorations were only up for the Twelve days of Christmas. We now decorate on the 18th December (International Migrants' Day) as a reminder that the Christ Child born on the 25th would have to migrate to Egypt soon after that... Thanks for hosting!
