The other day I had a 2 hour nightmare trying to get a human on the phone at the bank - it was a drama to do with the ATO using an unknown bank account for my refund. I thought it was identity fraud but after much yelling at the robot and being sent in a loop - call the bank, sent a link, type an essay back and forth with the robot to be told to call the number I'd called....I finally got to the bottom of it and it was an accoutn closed in 2012. I then had to go thru 13 years of returns to see if I'd missed any refunds. Fun waste of time that was....so I needed to get out of there!
There being my agited, frustrated headspace.
I was off to the theatre anyway, and as soon as I sat with my drink in the fresh air, I let out a sigh. I felt it all dissapate.
I said to my friend "This is what I needed!" Not so much the drink, but the view and the feeling of luxury. A little treat.
Anyway, So Young at the Old Fitz has a few nights left. It's pretty funny.

Beautiful tree and blooms! Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love these purple trees, we don't see any here now but use to see alot of them in the far north.
ReplyDeleteoh what a nightmare it can be trying to deal with anywhere over the phone when we have a problem we need sorted. I hope all is good now. Yes it is Jacaranda time! Relax and enjoy your weekend, and thankyou for visiting my blog this week.
ReplyDeleteThe automated phone things, now with AI, are enough to make me pull my hair out, but I don't have much hair so it works out.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful jacaranda blooms. I hope the bank refund situation is sorted. Thank you for your weekend coffee share.
ReplyDeleteCet arbre est vraiment splendide !
ReplyDeleteOh, I have to call my bank, too :-(
ReplyDeleteYes, Ingo does that, too, yelling at the robot! To a treat and wow, that is quite a tree - happy T-Day.
There's nothing worse than trying to get things squared away these days. Between AI, computers and not getting a real person, I can see why you needed to get out to relax. Happy T day.
ReplyDeleteOh I hate the new way of communicating with computers and getting frustrated. I totally understand. I hope everything worked out and I hope you have a lovely week. Happy TDay!
ReplyDeleteUgh, yelling at the computer to try to get a human to talk to. Glad you got your problem straightened out and were able to destress at your outing. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful jacaranda tree. We have them here too but not enough for my taste. I would like more, but although we have a hot dry climate, our winters can be cold because of the altitude, so Jacarandas don't do so well unless they are sheltered.
ReplyDeleteAutomated answering machines are so frustrating. They drive me nuts. Luckily, we still have some bank branches here. My bank's branch has disappeared from my village last month. Now I have to go into town if I want to talk to someone, but that's only 15 minutes away, so I can't complain. And there are two more (other) bank branches in the village. I'm thinking of getting a Revolut account alongside my main bank account.
Happy T-Day

I wish I could have joined you for a drink. We'd have fun and you sure needed to have a drink.
ReplyDeleteSpring is such a wonderful time of year. My favorite season.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Lydia. Hugs. ♥
I love jacarandas! Here in Michigan the climate is much too harsh for them, but I’ve really enjoyed them in California when we have been there in springtime when they are in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteAutomated service is so frustrating: I usually end up yelling "speak to a representative"!

I am glad it is over and you were able to get of there and get refreshed. Sorry for all the frustration. We just went thru trying to deal with the Medicare website to change one of our plans. Talk about going in circles! Finally had to call and wait for 1/2 hour for real person to get my password reset!while you’re waiting the recording says “you can go to our website “ LOL. Hope you had a great it Day!
ReplyDeleteSorry, above is from Foxy .stamping- Sharon
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds so frustrating! My husband just tends to yell the word human over and over again until he in in fact transferred to a human. What beautiful photos of the jacaranda tree!
ReplyDeleteLook at those trees all pretty in purple - Thanks for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
ReplyDeleteLovely Jacaranda. Ours is still sprouting leaves... Thanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme. PS: And your misadventures with AI on the phone is just the beginning of our impending future odysseys.... Thanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme. (Nick)
ReplyDeleteI sensed your relief when that was all over! The tree is incredible.
