Mind, Body & Spirit

I was visiting a relative in hospital and outside the cafeteria they had a wellness campaign, where you posted notes to improve your mind, body or spirit.

There were lots along the lines of exercise more, stay away from junk food and have faith in God, but these were the ones that tickled my fancy.

What would you write?
What's your tip to help you love life a little more?

It's so specific it made me laugh

  4. What a fabulous idea! I love the specificity (is that a word?) of play more volleyball, but my fave is be an impossible human. What would I write? Probably How Hard Can It Be? #TeamLovinLife

  5. Great idea! I'd probably write "Find humour to smile or laugh every day".

  6. All are good suggestions, actually...
    Good and funny idea!

  7. At the moment mine would be: BREATHE! (Or STOP & BREATHE!) I let myself get really stressed and anxious about things and it's been getting worse lately. I know I've been on edge so been trying to push the pause button before I escalate too much! #teamlovinlife

  8. Wonderful idea! I'm with Deborah, mine would be BREATHE too.

  9. I fully agree with never holding back a compliment. I often tell people what I love about them. Smile/hair/glasses/dress/laugh. It helps break the ice (usually) and makes them feel good - and I feel good too!

  10. What a wonderful idea! These boards should be everywhere. These types of things really do have a way of turning a day around and getting people into positive habits! Thanks for sharing!

  11. How I love this. I need a board like this at home, maybe put my fridge to good use! Mine would say "Never be afraid to be your authentic self!".

  14. My fav is "never hold back from giving a compliment"! And I would add "or saying thank you". Sometimes it's those little things that can really brighten another persons day.

  17. That volleyball one - how random!! As I'm a regular visitor to hospitals at the moment, visiting my MIL, I think my post it note would say something like 'skip when the urge takes you' #mlstl

    1. Skipping is an interesting thing. It changes you physiologically (is that the right word? The physical action alters your mood). We should all skip a little more...infact, I might try it on the dog walk today. If nothing else I might make the neighbourhood laugh a little...

  18. Mine would be "Don't Hold Back". I wrote about this at the beginning of the year and as it turned out, the year has panned out way different than I, or anyone else, expected. But if you're holding yourself back from doing anything, examine why, and overcome the obstacles in front of you.

  19. I did a thing once (part of a blogging campaign type thing) where I put post-its in the women's toilets (on the mirrors) at work saying.... "Smile! You're a beautiful person!" (or something like that).

I waited and waited for someone to say something about it but no one did... I wondered if people thought it silly or weird or if it made anyone smile.

    1. If you've been following my Dispatches from Elsewhere infatuation, I would have become extremely excited, taken photos of your post it's and written a blog post about them!

  20. I loved these little tips Lydia - keeping it to post-it notes means short and succinct - perfect in today's time of short attention spans. No advice from me - except "hug your family"
Thanks for linking up with us at MLSTL and I've shared on my SM 😊

  22. Hi Lydia, I saw something similar when we visited the Science Museum in Seattle last year. It was so interesting reading the post-it notes and to try to understand how people were feeling (this was pre-coronavirus). This week the focus in the FB group has been on the value of a SMILE so the note about 'No matter what happens Smile as much as you can' is very appropriate for me. Have a lovely day and thanks for sharing at #MLSTL.

  23. This is lovely and I can feel the positive vibes from the post-its you've included here. I once found a note on my car in the shopping centre car park that said that they had watched me arrive and get out of my car and that my energy and smile made them feel good. Nothing more, no phone number, no name, just a lovely note. Words really are powerful! :-) #MLSTL
