Sadly the Comedy Festival wraps up this week for another year. I have one last show on Sunday and unfortunately I think I have to give away my tickets to the 2 shows I was going tomorrow as a friend is coming to stay after surgery. Still got my fingers crossed her operation gets bumped (selfishly).
We went to Alright Hey's show at random, having no idea who he was. It was a sold out show full of huge fans and us. I had never even heard of him. He's talking about being flown first class to interview the Wicked leads in London, so obviously very famous, just not to me. He was very clever and very funny. We would both definitely see him again. That's the benefit of the festival, you find new comedians...
I love the comedy festival as it's lowcost, easy laughs and a great reason to get out of the house.
As they say, Laughter is the best medicine.

I bet a comedy festival is full of laughs. That food looks really tasty. I hope you had a super T day.
ReplyDeleteCheap, good food, good drinks, and fun. Sounds like my kind of entertainment. Thanks for sharing this wonderful adventure with us for T this Tuesday, dear Lydia.
ReplyDeleteYour food photos are very appetizing — wish I had some of that dessert.

ReplyDeleteYou said it, laughter really is the best medicine!
ReplyDeleteWe said goodbye to Edi's sister today. It was a day spent with many of Anita's friends. After the funeral service, we sat with some of them at a wine tavern – and we toasted Anita together, sharing stories about her life, with quiet moments, but also heartfelt laughter and beautiful memories. That felt good!
I also like it when I discover artists I didn't know before but like – great that you enjoyed Alright Hey. (Funny artist name, by the way!) And your food looks very tempting!
All the best from Austria, Traude

That seems to be a wonderful and humorous festival. But I think I would not understand much - even if I speak English not badly ...but I am no native speaker and I have made the experience that it is very difficult to follow when it is not spoken slowly and clearly in Oxford English LOL. But it is always a good experience to discover new artists that are really good.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time
