Day time I'm still snowed under and overwhelmed but night time, I'm out and about and loving life! VIVID showcases our beautiful city in a way that gets people on the streets, happy and with a sense of community. The light shows combine animation, art and music, and the kids will love it as much as the adults...while I've crossed off two venues, I have 2 more weeks to make the most of the other locations. I just need this weather to hold out!
My favs so far have been the wings and the music cubes at Central Park (could have made beats for hours!) and the stomach lurching 'roller coaster drop' at Cadmans Cottage.
For three weeks in Sydney, it's impossible not to love life!
Linking with MakroTex on Spicy Colours....because Vivid is when our city gets spiced up....
WOW - is this an annual thing ? If so I need to try to get down there next year at this time - that looks amazing !!!
ReplyDelete3 weeks in May/June - it's fab but it looks like my plan for Darling harbour tonight will get rained out :(
DeleteMy plans for seeing Vivid tonight are on hold due to the weather. If it clears up abit I might see it in Chatswood rather than traipse into the city. I'll have to go to the city next weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous. I only first heard about this a couple of years ago and have been intrigued.
ReplyDeleteYour pics are lovely and I think it's such a nice thing for a city to host!
Wow, great photos! I really must get to Sydney for this one year.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being part of the lovin' life linky!
I would love to see this in Sydney. Every year I have managed to miss the Melbourne event. These shows look amazing!
ReplyDeleteVivid is AWESOME! We were lucky to be right in the midst of it on the first evening - watching from The Star Room at Darling Harbour. Amazing! We also get to see the Bridge light up every night. Love this city!

ReplyDeleteAmazing colors you are right they are vivid!!! Happy Wednesday!!
ReplyDeleteHow do they do that? Are the different colors projected on the buildings somehow? I've never seen anything quite like that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2016/06/circa-1953-and-now.html
Yep - it's a huge festival here, lights and sound - interactive, concerts, sculptures, the whole bit!

This is most definitely on my must do list, one of these days. Can't beat an event that brings the community together.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on Vivid a few years ago. Yes the lights are beautiful but I just can't stand the crowds. way too many people for my comfort. Glad you enjoyed it though.
