Shades of grey

Was cleaning up some photos off the camera, and found these. Not spectacular but a whole lot of nature in shades of grey.

I like the two of the moon, above and below because passing clouds have textured and coloured the shots.
The rays are highlighted by the cloud.

A tiny drop of blue hiding in the grey.
For #WeekendReflection

The grey sky makes the orange more valuable - like a glimpse of gold that might be whisked away...

I like the tiny hint of pink clouds and the small spotlight on the building above, a focus in the grey.

I like the next three simply because the sun coming up changes the picture. All taken within minutes of each other.

Have a great week and stay safe.

  1. We have had a lot of gray here too. I did have some flu-like symptoms for a day and I know the second vaccine will be worse. But with my age and autoimmune disease getting COVID would kill me so I weighed the risks. Also I would like to see my grandchildren and it has been since last spring...Stay well..Michelle

  2. Awesome sunset images - wow! Also am stunned about the moon! Still need to learn how to do this.
Do you have instructions or a website you can refer to? Just let me know at your convenience. I tried it once, but had no clue what all they were talking about, so it needs to be first grade level, lol. Whenever convenient for you! Many thanks, Jesh

  3. Such beautiful photos! I love the city views, rainbow and shadowy moon shot which looked very mysterious. I'm getting vaccine dose #2 this week. A big relief!

  4. Your images with the little boat and in the background the high rises, reminds me on a painting I tarted, but never finished! Often the sky lights up with a rainbow, and a notice it did not when you captured this rainbow! Your greys are lovely- also the pink spot on the high rise - many thanks for sharing them with All Seasons this week, Jesh

  9. The pictures of the moon are my favorite as I do not have a camera that can give me such close up pictures.

  16. Being a sky watcher is such fun. Your photographs explains why we do it. Each image looks like a different day but it is only been a minute or two or three. Beautiful images of the moon, the city plus reflections and the rainbows. Lovely work!
