Writers Block

I definitely have it. I am struggling to write any fiction and it appears I'm beginning to struggle to think of anything for the blog as well!

I will be taking a break come the 26th March until 18th April so will limp along on the blog until then, just to try and push through it.

I can't explain it. I have been going out and doing fun things, I've been seeing art to inspire me - and movies and exercise and walks in nature. Just nothing.

I submitted something for Furious Fiction but my brain shut straight back down again.

#AusWrites even asked their writers how they got through writers block and while there were plenty of great ideas, still here I am!!

Got a busy week ahead so hopefully I can shake things up inside, and get back to feeling more 'normal'.  A play, an art show and a (drum roll)...festival! (of sorts).

May you all be feeling more creatively inspired or content than me!

  1. We all hit the wall on just about everything. I know I do. Taking a break may be just what you need.

  2. Love these color brakes in a mass of grey! That is very frustrating! What is do with a creative block, is I take some time off (a month at least) and turn to shopping, reading, visiting people. And now you can travel, right? Hope you get passed this period soon! You're still "good enough" for All Seasons, so don't worry! Have an adventurous week, Jesh

  5. Often I find myself writing a lot of stuff that's junk, but then there's a breakthrough. Maybe you'll have one too--I hope so!

  10. I think we all go through this from time to time, especially nowadays when every day looks pretty much the same. Hopefully we can get out of this rut soon and get back to experiencing life a bit again #KCACOLS

  11. I've been watching the Masterclasses with Neil Gaiman and Amy Tan...she says we all get writers block, and usually it's not that you can't think of anything to write, but possibly you have too much on your mind. :0 #KCACOLS

  12. I do hope that a little break will help to shift your writers' block. Sometimes I feel the more I fixate on the fact I'm stuck with what to right, the worse it gets and so a break helps tremendously. #KCACOLS
