I have no idea what any of these are, nor if they are specific to Lord How Island but a brief collection of some of the wild flowers I saw around the island.
Hello i am back again Lydia, Like your blog very much. And i know the plant and flower. The first and 2nd photo is the Crinum asiaticum. On the face of it, you might not say that this plant is related to the well-known amaryllis, but on closer inspection you will see that the leaves are the same shape as the amaryllis. Crinum, also known as hook lily in Dutch, is native to Southeast Asia, from Malaysia to the Polynesian Islands, and has also been introduced to many parts of the world as a garden or houseplant. The beautiful long leaves and long thin stamens covered with pollen adorn from April to October. The last photo are also very beautiful. i think thats the Dietes robinsoniana also known as the wedding flower. Wish you hereby a wonderful weekend. Best regards, Tine and this time from my other nature website https://catherinetine.blogspot.com
Not sure where your comment is Amy - these are not daylillies but you have solved a question I had on a curious flower I found on my dog walk....so stay tuned for those pics!! Well done you too!
