My favourite activity when i take the kids to the Hunter is to get up early (without them!) and watch the sun rise and chase kangaroos. This time I had less luck with the roos but a fog was envelping the valleys and rising from the lakes and dams.
The world is a beautiful place.

Fog, mountains, and (?) grapevines - all make for such a pretty winter picture. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteRoos aren't something I'm use to seeing here except in zoos, think we have a few wallabies roaming around though.
ReplyDeleteFog is always so picturesque!
ReplyDeleteThe fog enveloping the valleys and rising from the lakes and dams is a beautiful sight. It's peaceful and serene, and I can imagine how much fun you had chasing kangaroos.
ReplyDelete...fog adds a bit magic. Have a magical week and thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great time, Lydia!
ReplyDeleteTerrific.
ReplyDeleteDear Lydia, I don't understand all of the text today. "Hunter" means "Jäger" in German. You don't hunt kangaroos, I suppose. The photos with the fog are very nice. Kind regards and thanks for the link to Nature Thursday. Elke
ReplyDeleteThat's a lost in translation. It is the name of the region "In 1797 it was formally named the Hunter, after Captain John Hunter who was Governor of the British colony in New South Wales at that time." Nothing to do with hunting...tho people do shoot roos in parts of Australia (I think), I only hunt them with my camera....(it's a very touristy wine region so there'd be no shooting there either way)

ReplyDeleteAmazing shots!
ReplyDeleteLooks like wine country. Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteFor Yogi, for some reason you post doesn't appear here - but there are a lot of places here where roos and wallabys just wander around - even in Sydney suburbs!
