Something Gleaned: I learnt that saying 'The Ukraine' is not only incorrect but actually politically incorrect, as it diminishes their independence. There is geopolitical history wrapped up in that tiny article.
Something Braved: I don't think I've done anything particularly noteworthy. My Torschlusspanik list has stalled with the lockdowns. Maybe I need to get back into crossing those off and adding to it?
Something Achieved: I've not achieved very much - writing has stalled, I'm still taking longer to do work tasks than it should. I have started doing the Bay Run again, and quite quickly (for a walker) so I'll take that as an achievement - beginning to get my fitness back up.
A very short post for what has been quite a fun month.
Hello Lydia. I love your Lunar New Year photos, so interesting and beautiful. Good for you getting back out to the Bay Run. It's been cold and gloomy here recently, so I haven't been spending much time outdoors. I miss it and look forward to spring.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful time you've had!
ReplyDeleteThe show looks spectacular. Beautiful views for your Bay runs or walks. Thank you for linking up with #weekendcoffeeshare.
ReplyDeleteI replied to your inquiry about the badge. It's an image that you can save and add to your blog. Or you can link back to my coffee share post. Thank you.
This looks like so much fun - especially after such a long lock down. Going out for a show and some fun - what a concept!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness - I LOVE those aerial dancers and all the water and the swimmers and all of it - so different and so much fun. And those dumplings sounded delicious too.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely photos, specially the Lunar New Year performances. Simply wonderful performance! Glad to see that you've had a wonderful month..
ReplyDeleteThat show look amazing! Lunar New Year does sound like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWat and interesting series of adventures and photos.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought share 4 things would be fun, but I haven't gotten around to joining it. I've been a little fascinated by the lunar new year but I haven't had time to really look into it.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots, Lydia. Interesting about "The" Ukraine... I've always called it Ukraine. I do hope the send the Russians back to their country.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking part in the "My Sunday Best "meme.
The Lunar New Year Celebration looks like fun. Thanks for sharing about "the Ukraine" just this morning I was wondering about that. Now I know to just say Ukraine.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures from the show look really cool. Wish we had something like that near us. Megan

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Those Lunar New Year celebrations look amazing! And, how wonderful to have been able to get a dumpling box made up by a few restaurants. I wish they would do that here :-) Thank you for sharing your gorgeous four somethings post over on the #DreamTeam x
ReplyDeleteWe don't ahve lunar new year celebrations in the UK so these pics look fab! Sorry to hear that you don't feel you have achieved much but things often can't be quantified so you have probably done more than you think! Thanks for joining in with the #DreamTeam
