I know you must be getting sick of these, so never fear, I saved the best for last. As I was sitting on the deck taking photos of my visitors and their ruffled feathers, or trying to get some action shots, one landed right in front of me for a closer inspection of the body behind the little black box.
The bird landed with crest stretched and then shook back into its compact and neat form.
The sun was conveniently setting to add a nice pink hue.
I really lament not having my camera with me for sharper images, but as they say, the best camera is the one you have with you at the time.
The bird was quite content to be very close to me, while I snapped away.
He looks like a very curious fellow too
