Share Four Somethings - February

Something Loved: The Lunar New Year. I think it's my favorite celebration. 12 nights (14?) of fun: free shows, decorated streets, performances, good food and gathering with friends. even in Covid times, I got out and about a fair bit. We had a sensational dumpling box put together from a number of different restaurants. Magnificent. Mind you, now we have to wait another 12 months.

Something Gleaned: I learnt that saying 'The Ukraine' is not only incorrect but actually politically incorrect, as it diminishes their independence. There is geopolitical history wrapped up in that tiny article.

Something Braved: I don't think I've done anything particularly noteworthy. My Torschlusspanik list has stalled with the lockdowns. Maybe I need to get back into crossing those off and adding to it?

Something Achieved: I've not achieved very much - writing has stalled, I'm still taking longer to do work tasks than it should. I have started doing the Bay Run again, and quite quickly (for a walker) so I'll take that as an achievement - beginning to get my fitness back up.

A very short post for what has been quite a fun month.

  1. Hello Lydia. I love your Lunar New Year photos, so interesting and beautiful. Good for you getting back out to the Bay Run. It's been cold and gloomy here recently, so I haven't been spending much time outdoors. I miss it and look forward to spring.

  8. I've always thought share 4 things would be fun, but I haven't gotten around to joining it. I've been a little fascinated by the lunar new year but I haven't had time to really look into it.

  9. Lovely shots, Lydia. Interesting about "The" Ukraine... I've always called it Ukraine. I do hope the send the Russians back to their country.
Thank you for taking part in the "My Sunday Best "meme.
