As I wrote last year, as soon as the
Jacaranda blooms, it's quickly followed by the
purple snow. The flowers begin to flutter to the ground as you walk past, and then the purple carpet they create takes a few days to turn to slippery brown sludge...just like real snow.

Love these trees, use to see lots in the far north.
ReplyDeleteHello, Lydia. I love jacarandas as they always remind me of a nook at Melbourne University where they bloomed and the place is rather special to me. Our neighbour has a huge jacaranda in his back yard and we have one growing happily in a large pot. The last few years it has even bloomed and is now in bud. Thank you for hosting, have a great new week! (Nick from MAP)
ReplyDeleteOh, I´ve done it just in time....beautiful colours ...on the street. Shouldn´t every street be colourful?

ReplyDeleteWe have to wait for the spring to see Jacaranda blooming. Thanks for sharing with Garden Affar.
ReplyDeleteIt is Spring! Ha! (Here, at least)
DeleteBeautiful...
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! I always thought the white petals look like snow too.
