“The power of finding beauty in the humblest things makes home happy and life lovely.” ― Louisa May Alcott

While it wasn't the perfect blue sky sunny day, the sky still put on a great show in the still water. Instead of sparkling glints of light in the waves, the turbulent clouds were mirrored on the surface.

"Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add colour to my sunset sky" Rabindranath Tagore, Stray Birds

I start the morning each day in a great mood but then something in the news will set me off, in anger or despair. I'm not sure how we got ourselves to this state but we seemingly hellbent on destruction. So I'm using the beauty around me to right the ship so to speak - at least my mood.

“I don't think of all the misery, but of the beauty that still remains.”
― Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl

  1. Lots of houses alongside the water. It must be very attractive to live there.

  7. I love your photos Lydia. They are beautifully atmospheric. I agree with you about the news lately. I once was a news junkie but try not to catch up with it more than once each day now.

  11. This sky is incredibly mystical and the reflection is just as fantastic. Even the smallest puddles reflect the spectacle in the sky. Yes, I would even say that the event and the reflection are spectacular!
