Last weekend was my annual pre NYE practice run with Hot Dub on the Harbour and Harbourlife the next day.
It was glorious weather, not too hot but lovely and sunny, however this time, one of the kiddos needed a midnight pick up from their year 10 formal so my Hotdub night was cut short and sober. Still a fabulous night dancing my heart out with friends in a spectacular setting.
I did cancel my early morning walk with a friend, which was smart as I would have been pretty slow first thing!

Each night I danced the equivalent of 20 kms, so less than normal on that weekend, but a great workout non the less.

I have not heard of Hotdub on the Harbour. Is it to celebrate a special event?
ReplyDeleteHotDub TIme Machine is a dj who starts in the 50's (or 60's or 70's) and moves the music through the decades until the present day. He's started having an annual night on the harbour, taking advantage of the Festival set up for Harbourlife (a traditional music festival)
DeleteSounds fun! Love the views of the harbor.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day!
Gorgeous photos of a splendid city!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a very long time since I've been out dancing.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of HotDub so googled it. It sounds like a fantastic night and who doesn't love a night of energetic dancing. Lot's of steps you did and I'm sure you burnt lots of calories. This was a lovely joyful post to read.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness you do maintain your youth....go girl. I love that same harbour but my pursuits are more gentle to my feet. Denyse x
ReplyDeleteWow this looks like so much fun Lydia! I've never heard of it before, go you! Thanks for linking up with us for #WBOYC. Have a great December.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds fabulous!
ReplyDeleteDancing the equivalent of 20 kms a night is totally awesome. I am very impressed (and exhausted just thinking about it)! <3
ReplyDeleteHI Lydia I love the energy I feel reading your posts about dancing and music. You seem to find fun things to do and with the gorgeous harbour as the backdrop what a fabulous night. Thanks for linking up with us at #WBOYC? and have a wonderful December. Sue L xx
ReplyDeleteI always marvel at your energy. All of that is way past my bedtime (I'm a stupid o clock in the morning person). There's nothing like dancing as the most fun way to get your steps in. And the harbour looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like so much fun, Lydia, and the harbour is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great time. This year I'll be fortunate if I stay up to midnight on New Years Eve. We used to have something called First Night, which was children oriented, but that went away in our city years ago.
ReplyDeleteYou took some great photos. It's not my kind of music but you had fun and that's what counts.
