I'm reading a lot of Jon Ronson - I love his books! I just started my 6th, having read five back to back in the last two weeks. I thoroughly recommend them all! Fiction or non fiction. He reads the audio books and I find him quite delightful.
In 'So you've been publicly shamed' a company is trying to flood the internet with a girl's positive foot print in order to move the shameful incident down the google ranking, and the technician asks her 'What are you passionate about?' and she didn't know how to answer it. She was in her mid twenties. I thought 'I don't know how to answer it either.' How have I traveled more than half my life and not know my passions straight off the top of my head?
I love to travel and I indulge in the arts but am I really passionate about it?
Could you answer the question? What are you passionate about?

I enjoyed your images Lydia :-)
ReplyDeleteNo I can't answer it either athough I do like lemon drizzle cake LOL :-)
Have a tanfastical week ;-)
Interesting to read... I never read something about Jon Ronson. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteInteresting photos - thanks so much for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2019/03/hellebore-or-lenten-rose.html
ReplyDeleteThose are alluring photos but it makes me think of all the travel warnings I keep hearing about. They mentioned Jamaica, Mexico and I forget where else. They were popular spring break places.
ReplyDeleteNot really a spring break place. Infact, quite the opposite! Dawn Fraser Baths, built in the 1880s, is the oldest pool and swimming club in Australia. It's listed on the National Trust.
DeleteToday, I am thinking how lucky for those just drifting the day away on those boats. Great photos. :)
ReplyDeleteI feel weird knowing what I'm passionate about after reading your post and comments.
ReplyDeleteLove that shot of the boats on the water! :)
It's a good thing if you know. I've been polling and so far you are the second person. Though one person said that perhaps because of her marketing writing, perhaps she uses the word loosely (and I am wondering if I have given it a higher purpose than it needs).
DeleteWonderful photos. Thank you for sharing. I will never travel abroad in my lifetime, but it's wonderful to look at other's pics... besides I can dream can't I?
ReplyDeleteBy the fact that I'm alive, life is one of my passions. :-) I like your photos. They have me wanting to be there.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting comment. I need to think about this, and possibly then steal. Life might be my passion too.
DeleteThank you for visiting my blog Lydia. I enjoyed your beautiful photos. I would have to say without a doubt that my greatest passion is gardening!
