It's been an extraordinarily difficult week and I had to cancel Melbourne for a second time. I miss Lightscape completely so other than extra dollars on the airfares and now the 2 x Lightscape tickets I had to give away, everything else was moveable - some out of kindness rather than policy.
So I am grateful for the kindness of strangers. I am grateful that I still get to go. I am grateful I could make some other people happy by giving them a chance to see the installation.
I was also very grateful that I got to go for my walk with a friend (as I'd told her I'd be in Melbourne) so I'm really lucky she was available to switch plans last minute, as it really buoyed my mood.

A few more difficult and stressful things to attend to tomorrow but I am hoping by Friday I can relax and enjoy the weekend.
I now have a Little My eco bag that folds up so tiny it fits comfortably in my pocket. That makes me smile every time I get it out and use it. So as I've said before, when the big things are too much, just focus on the little things.
A small thing this week was a walk through the castle park of Castle Amras near Innsbruck/Tyrol - made me happy
ReplyDeleteShould have read the comment first! Ha! Ignore my comment on yours. I thought maybe you wanted it on tomorrow's #Allseasons. I'm a clown! And yes, I bet it did. It's a gorgeous setting!!
DeleteI know it's the little things, but I got stuck on those boats. You know how I love boating.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥
Ah yes, the Super yacht marina! Those are the not so little things! ;)
DeleteI am sure you’ll get much joy from the Moomin bag! Small things are the best. I have been happy spending some quality time with my husband. We love to watch tennis and athletics together and we even laugh a lot! After 30 years.
ReplyDeleteI put in a pot a plant taken from the mountain. So now, I wait to see what I've succeeded.
ReplyDeleteI love small things and their energy. They really makes me happy and more inventive. Lovely photos here. And I hope your weekend will be a fine one!
Happy WW!
I appreciate the small moments and since the pandemic have been writing them down as it helps… I hope you have more huge moments to enjoy…
ReplyDeleteI think somehow I have stumbled onto focusing on the little things when the big things overwhelm. It's wonderful advice. Sometimes it takes a long time to "get it," like it did me.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's very hard not to get caught up...
DeleteI always try to focus on appreciating the small things. This week , one of the small things I've enjoyed has been seeing butterflies
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how the little insects can be so delightful. Butterflies, dragonflies and ladybirds in particular...
DeleteThank You for sharing this with Your Moment Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that life has been difficult for you lately, Lydia, but glad that you are coping well and able to dwell on the little things to make you happy. I hope it will work our one day for you to see this in Melbourne. I always wonder when I get disappointed by missing something if it did not don't happen for a good reason? I have been happy to see all my garden tomatoes and squash have been ripening and that my grandkids are happy to be back in school.
