We are inching closer back to our old lives. Inching. We must be patient. I am grateful that my kids are all of an age where they can get some protection, though the youngest is still in a queue. I am extremely grateful they will all be fully vaxxed before returning to school.
I am glad I have a number of doctor friends to get opinions on safe behaviour.
I am happy we can soon see some freinds next weel. I am also glad the kids can't at this point. It allows us to minimise risk still.
Like in the picture, I can see tinges of colour begining to brighten my outlook.
May your week bring you eased restrictions and a safe return to people you love.

Lydia, thanks for listing positives for us ... it's been so easy to dwell on all that's going poorly. 'Tinges of colour' ... I love how you put that!
ReplyDeleteThere is still hope for a better tomorrow. Meanwhile, take care and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI'm wishing for the same here. Poor old Auckland is still under lockdown and although we are under level 2 here it's not so bad, I am so thankful for our liberties.
ReplyDeleteThinking positive is the best way to live
ReplyDeleteLook forward to a brighter future, thanks for your lovely comment...
ReplyDeleteI am glad things are getting better there and that you see "a light at the end of the tunnel" Only one of my grandchildren is old enough to be vaccinated so I still worry about the younger 3, but so far wearing masks in school has helped keep them healthy.
ReplyDeleteThanks to a kind comment you left on my blog I just discovered yours and spent several minutes looking over your recent posts. You have a really nice blog here. The photos are excellent and I enjoy your commentary. Tell us more about your walks along the waterfront. Here, that has been my joy over the last several months. I've been lucky to avoid COVID. I am religious about wearing a mask when in public and using hand sanitizer often. I did get the Pfizer vaccine. Here in the USA we would probably be done with COVID if not for the anti-vaxers. Hope to see you again at John's Island.
ReplyDeleteOh it is so nice to have some fo the restrictions being lifted a bit. We have found that some places have begun to put some restrictions back in place as the Delta variant is still around.
ReplyDeleteYOU have a bright outlook for the coming future, thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteHubby & I are both retired, and our little world is right here in our home. Hubby is the only one that goes out being as I'm disabled... well sorta, I walk with a cane, but not quickly (right leg is bad). Anyway, we stay here in the office most of the time doing computer stuff. I like the movies on you tube mostly. Well, God bless & take care.
ReplyDeleteDear Lydia,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful gratitude post. Thank you for the reminder. We forget way too often. Things have been slowly but surely inching back to normal. Amen to that! :)
It's so good to see friends, or step out to grab a coffee or a meal.
Let's hope the months ahead bring redemption and our little ones get vaxxed on time too.
Love
Great reminder to look for the positive! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteGreat reminder to look for the positive! Thank you! #KACACOLS
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to see that you're looking out for the positives. I'm finding it hard to be honest, in the UK despite having a large proportion of people vaccinated we've just got so many cases and are having to be so vigilant with every cough or cold that it's causing so much anxiety. I just want it to be over now.

I want it to be over. I want to stop having to think about it.
DeleteI'm lucky enough to live in a state with relatively high vacc rates so things aren't as bad here as they are elsewhere. Sure would like to be done with all this though #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteGosh. What a trying time it has been. This is such a good reminder to loo for the positive. Just what I needed today. Thank you! #kcacols
