Sometimes it only takes one good song to bring back thousands of good, old memories...
This was left out in the rain...with a cake near Macarther Park. Not really. It just made me think of the lyric. Music is like that. Woven into our memories & subconscious, sometimes even the key. Quite by accident we curate a soundtrack to our lives.
a wonderful one. It reminds me Wim wenders'film "Alice in den Städten" with the sequence of the yong boy sitting near the juke box listening to "on the road again"
WOW, that last tune... that guy can really move. I should be so lucky. I use to love dancing, but now ever since I had my 3rd back operation I can bearly walk. Oh well, I can still boogie in my chair. hahahaha Have a great day!
I love the photograph of the old jukebox in B&W and what a lively song at the end to bring that old jukebox to life! Come join the party where just about anything goes at CAAC for Wild Wednesdays! Have a wonderful week, my friend.
You're so right about that. Some are not fond memories either.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
Fun! I'll be singing that song all evening ;)
ReplyDeleteMusic is life!
Music is life. Or a huge part of it for me.
DeleteGreat Jukebox, the best looking I´ve ever seen. Just wondering what it would look like in colors. I bet it´s even better. Nice photo never the less.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I've seen that movie - I thought I'd seen all of them...will check out.
DeleteI miss them too
ReplyDeleteI find that certain smells bring back memories#anythinggoes@_karendennis
ReplyDeleteSo True! MacArthur Park was released when I was in High School and every time I hear it I am transported back to those days of my youth.
ReplyDeleteAnd now that my kids listen to the same music I listened to as a kid...
ReplyDeleteThe old devices were ones of marvel!
ReplyDeleteSweet jukebox.
