I was at DisneySea in January when I saw these. I assumed they were fake but was surprised to discover they were real.
Later googling explained the blooms in winter. They're known as ice tulips because the bulbs have been refrigerated so that they bloom in winter.
Thus all the magficient blooms.

ReplyDeleteHi Lydia - I didn't realize you'd been away (Christmas and New Year certainly caused a jump in the space/time continuum in my world! Those tulips are lovely and it's amazing what a bit of lateral thinking can do to create beauty out of season like that.
