Sydney Harbour Bridge in B&W and as it is

I found this quite interesting when putting together a post for #WeekendinB&W. This was taken at sunset. Interestingly, the person is barely noticeable in the colour shot, but draws the eye in the B&W version because the colours of the sunset are missing and can't distract you.

Which made me wonder about how much we colour our vision? We see what we want to see, rather than what is necessarily there.

"We only see what we want to see; we only hear what we want to hear. Our belief system is just like a mirror that only shows us what we believe."

  3. Love the function of a bridge:) Am writing you since I deleted my previous blog of "the"jesh studio. Now my url is (one word) Living between two realms (dot) wordpress (dot) com. My new name is Jeshie2. Went back to windows, so am going through the slow and painful withdrawal to learn how to cope with the newest additions since I was on Apple. Hope all the people on all Seasons will slowly come back to your rendition! Have a lovely week, Jeshie2.

  8. I like the monochrome image although I wouldn't have thought to do it that way. It is a fascinating shot.
