November

November means packing away the Halloween decorations & it means ignoring the Cup.

November means sorting my charity xmas gifts and preparing Share the Dignity's #Itsinthebag campaign (to be delivered between 18-27 November this year).

It means summer outdoor concerts, weekends away and parties (getting in before the Christmas rush). It means planning my Sydney Festival.

It means family birthdays.

November is busy and happy but not the crazy rush that comes with December.

And this year November means the World Cup, so I'm hounding friends for my sweep, and will be spending the early hours running around town to watch games....

Bring it on!

  1. This sunset shows wonderful colors, you could also enlarge and frame the picture, I could imagine it on a wall, is that probably due to the great perspective of the photograph?

  2. I'm personally happy to wave goodbye to Halloween for another year (not my favourite holiday - and I got sick and tired of seeing skeletons when I was doing my grocery shopping - what's with Coles and skeletons?) Loved your sunset and roll on Christmas!

  4. I ignore the Melb cup too Lydia. As an animal lover I don't agree with it.

  7. You know, November is much better than December. I'm not a big Christmas fan any longer.

    1. Neither am I tbh. It seemed to be a lot of obligation and trying to keep people happy. November is just about having fun with friends

  8. I would love to be on a boat out in that water seeing that sky. Beautiful.

Love the containment area. Made me chuckle.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

  10. Hi Lydia thank you for the beautiful photo of the Sydney Harbour Bridge . Is that on the ferry to or from East Balmain? I used to live there about 40 years ago and catch the ferry to Circular Quay each day. x

    1. No we had a boat day and heading back to Glebe Point. But I got great shots from the Balmain ferry not so long ago...beautiful.

  11. Great Sydney pics! I am slowly packing away what we want to keep with us on our move, and trying not to get too sentimental about what either needs to be donated (crockery etc) or can be shared with an adult grandchild. First time ever, I am not putting up anything Christmassy as we would only need to re-pack it to move. We are (fingers and toes crossed) driving down to our daughter's for
Christmas Day...the last two we missed due to Covid. Great to see you join in for Wednesday’s Words and Pics. Next week it will be the 10th one! I am enjoying our connections via blogging each week and hope you are too. Denyse.

  12. Lydia that photo of the bridge is stunning! Beautiful colours. I haven't paid much attention to the World Cup but know there's some debate because of where it's being held.... Again I envy your motivation (or whatever the opposite of apathy is) in getting out and about to watch matches.

  15. Magic that bridge and the light around! I like what you said about your activities. There are important all the time.
Thank you for sharing with us!
Happy WW and a fine week!

  16. Marvelous bridge scene! We had no goblins, probably because we are new to the town and the home is not visible from the street-- a spooky and challenging 300 feet up a sinuous driveway any time of year.

  17. That's a beautiful bridge shot! Thanks for linking up and for sharing your snaps with #MySundaySnapshot.
