Stillness

There's a stillness in lockdown that invades the house. I'll look at a room and suddenly feel like the world has stopped and I'm frozen in time.

It's a fleeting feeling as there's still so much to do each day. Just nothing different or interesting. The revolution of time has changed and I now don't think beyond the next few days, as rules will change again or even may change back.

However, when the sun is out, I am happy. So that's all we can ask for at the moment.

Here's to a warm and sunny weekend!

  1. When I was young I was never home. Now that we're old we're homebodies. We like it so the lock down didn't affect us very much. We're happy about that. We feel for the young though.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥

  2. Yes I can relate to that thought. We are still in level 2 here so not quite out of the woods but when we are in lockdown it's like you can't clean a room time and time again if it's already spotless so it just looks the same.

  5. The various lockdowns have affected us all in many ways. Restrictions here will be lifted soon - and I think I'm more apprehensive than relieved!
    Love your second photo!

  6. I hope your area's lockdown will really help diminish the virus there once and for all. The way things are going in the US it will never go away as half the people are not cooperating with getting vaccinated.

  7. It's hard for some to adjust and get used to lockdown I am similar to Sandee it didn't effect me much as I was at home a lot anyway but must be very hard for some to adjust too, thankfully it's eased now here but not looking forward to winter if it spikes again.

    Have a peacefultastic week 👍

  9. Our country is opening up in stages but the whole situation of prolonged on-off lockdowns is depressing even for a homebody like me.

    Love your photos.

  11. Lucky you! My house is rarely quiet. Although in the very beginning of the lockdown, it was great to walk the streets with silence all around me.

  12. Hang on in there, Lydia. Let's hope with the rising percentage of fully vaccinated people in the community, the lockdown will be relaxed! Greetings from Melbourne, now officially: "Locktown" - the city in the world with the most days in lockdown!
Thank you for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme.
